Project Overview

Forward Blue is seeking a seasoned Communications Consultant or a boutique agency with a proven track record in political communications to help refine and amplify our public messaging. This consultant will be responsible for ensuring that our organization gains the visibility and credibility necessary to establish ourselves as the leading Gen Z electoral and advocacy force.

The ideal consultant will have:

Experience working with political organizations or candidates, particularly those aligned with progressive values and priorities.
A significant history of generating positive coverage, with a keen understanding of shaping narratives that break through traditional media barriers.
Deep relationships across the Democratic electoral system, including media contacts, party organizations, allied advocacy groups, and elected officials, to strategically position Forward Blue for long-term success.
Crisis communications experience to anticipate and navigate messaging challenges that could arise as our visibility increases.

This consultant or firm will be a key strategic partner in helping Forward Blue transition from a scrappy startup to a fully recognized flagship organization, reinforcing our position as a powerhouse in Gen Z voter mobilization and progressive electoral engagement.

Scope of Work

The selected consultant will be responsible for the following core responsibilities:
